Physiotherapy
Physiotherapy, also known as physical therapy, is concerned with identifying and maximizing quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of:
- promotion of movement
- prevention of injury
- treatment and intervention
- strengthening and rehabilitation
Reducing and possibly completely eliminating pain have first priority in our treatment concept.
Physiotherapy assesses and provides treatment to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and function throughout life. This includes providing treatment in circumstances where movement and function are threatened by aging, injury, disease or environmental factors.
The aim of physiotherapy for the patient is to be able to live as active and independently as possible.
Physiotherapy includes:
- manual therapies
(manual therapy, manual lymph drainage, various forms of massage etc.)
- active forms of therapy
(gait analysis, leg axis training, core strength building etc.)
